The No Canyon Hills movement urgently needs our help! This group of environmental defenders, working to protect the Verdugo Mountains from a luxury development, is being sued by the developer. I am raffling this 8×10 framed ink-and-watercolor artwork of La Tuna Puma, one of the mountain lions spotted in the Verdugo Mountains by the biologists of NCH, and the heritage Prunus, an ancient holly-leaf cherry found on the site.

Each entry costs $20, 100% of which will be donated to the NCH GoFundMe legal defense fund. You may purchase unlimited entries for more chances to win. A winner will be randomly selected on Sunday, January 12 and will be notified by email.

ABOUT NO CANYON HILLS

Since March 2023, No Canyon Hills (NCH) has been advocating for expanded Environmental Review for the proposed “Canyon Hills” development in the Verdugo Mountains in Los Angeles. Slated to be built on 300+ acres of significant ecological habitat, the development project will see mountain peaks graded in order to build 221-home luxury homes in a private, gated tract.

Their efforts have yielded so much to be proud of—events, collaboration, art, music, learning, experiences, and much more. Now they need our help: the “Canyon Hills” developer is suing NCH and associated individuals, and they must raise a reasonable sum in order to defend their work and the right to free speech in service of the public good.
